Clockwork Orange

In 1981 Power Rock trio ClockWork Orange set up their headquarters above Trevor Goverds' Agricultural Machinery Shop 171a North Street Bedminster a residential area of Bristol. When authorities arrived to quieten them one bright summers day the police requested they 'desist' from their playing. The police left 5 minutes later so they started playing again. One of the vocalists Dave Mills was training to be an electrician, Bassist Steve Pettis had just arrived from West Germany having served his 4 years as a Squaddie in British Army, Pete Waller Guitarist Vocalist had returned to Bedminster for a second time following abortive attempts to resurrect previous bands like Catch 22, Anagram 3 and The Media UK. The Drummer Simon Rogers lived in East Street so he could literally fall out of bed to rehearsals and Rob Moon Percussionist would cadge a lift off Dave as they both lived in Withywood. By summer 1982 a memorable gig at Hiatt Baker Hall University of Bristol became their first and only gig and by Xmas of 82 Steve had left, Simon had left , Dave and Rob packed it in and Pete Waller renewed his songwriting partnership with Jon Mills to form ZAXTOGO
